Thank You for My Birthday Presence

Last Sunday was my birthday. While birthdays can be wistful times, reminders of years behind, I always try to be extremely grateful and look ahead. After all, as my grandmother used to say, “Birthdays are better than the alternative.”

On this birthday, I felt so grateful and lucky that I threw myself a party. On Facebook. And as I wrap up my official birthday week, I wanted to say a public thanks to all who played party games with me and gave me their true birthday presence. (Yes, I know you wondered if it was a typo.) A big thanks to all these Red Cape Revolutionaries (in alpha order):

  • Colette Auclair
  • Eva Bergren Cronin
  • Diane Fennig
  • Robert Lewis, Jr.
  • Melissa Montuori

I appreciate them all for jumping in with comments and ideas, and being an active part of the party! It added so much to my birthday celebration–and was calorie-free!! Plus, they get some of my favorite books as presents from me:

  • [amazon_link id=”1594484805″ target=”_blank” container=”” container_class=”” ]Dan Pink’s “Drive: The Surprising Truth About What Motivates Us”[/amazon_link]
  • [amazon_link id=”0446692786″ target=”_blank” container=”” container_class=”” ]Peggy Klaus’s “Brag: The Art of Tooting Your Own Horn Without Blowing It” [/amazon_link]
  • [amazon_link id=”1591843790″ target=”_blank” container=”” container_class=”” ]Guy Kawasaki’s “Enchantment: The Art of Changing Hearts, Minds and Actions”[/amazon_link]

If you watched the party and didn’t jump in and comment, don’t be a wallflower! I love to hear about your superpowers and what’s happening with you at work! Your reactions and ideas to the things posted on our Facebook page help give others ideas and encouragement, too!

If you’re not hanging out with us on Facebook, please do! It’s an easy “Like”! We also have a free gift for you there, too–our “27 Tips to Get More Life Out of Work.” So come by and play soon–you never know when another Red Cape Revolution party will start!
