Talk Less, Act More

Tonight here in the United States, our President is offering his annual State of the Union address. It’s already gone on for an hour and ten minutes as I’m writing this. No matter what your political leaning, that’s a long time to hear someone speak. And even after the speech is done, nothing’s changed.

What if instead of making long speeches, our leaders said “Here are the three things we want to do: X, Y, and Z. Now, spend the next hour talking to your neighbor about what you can do to get us there.”

Feels like a better use of an hour. (And counting.)
